I've got LED's but they are the strips that go in a rollpan.
I would think they would give off alot of light as the late model cars that have them do.

I bought a set of LED replacement bulbs for my 'Stro BUT they are to large dia near the base to clear the Astro sockets so those were a waste of money in this case.

I've seen a couple vans around here with the LED tails and they look nice and bright. I might buy a pair soon. Was starting to retrofit LED segments from work in my altezzas starting to be too much work.

1993 Astro with a bad W motor. Parked next to a chicken coop in Talking Rock GA
I'm 'tween Canton and Holly Springs (North NorthWest of Atlanta GA)
I haul bottled water everyday- between 500 and 2500 pounds (226.796185 and 1,133.980925 Canadian) INSIDE the van.

I have a set of LEDs on my Astro that I really like! LEDs are brighter faster, and much longer lasting then conventional incandescent bulbs. You REALLY see them at night or in inclimate weather! Look on my signature for my picture trail account. Click on the ones for truckas and vans. The Astro is at or near the top of that section and I have a photo of the LEDs when on. I also have them on my trailer.
If the turn signals flas too fast with your new LEDs, and this could happen due to less resistance for the flasher, install a new flasher for trailering, and it shuold fix that. Mine has a "normal" flashing rate again.

I got mine about a month or two ago, the were off ebay ("smoked" version). However I ended up tinting the top portion with VHT Night Shade to darken them a little more. As far as the fast blinking thing, that happened the first time I put them in... I noticed all I had to do was push and turn the "socket" in better, problem solved...at least for me. But they are bright, the verticalness of the design I think flows well with the overall lines of the van, etc etc.

They look good in there! I was hit from behind on my Harley last year, so I'm a little sensitive about rear lights so I didn't go for the smoked look...I want mine as BRIGHT as I can get 'em (LED's) on EVERYTHING!! :supz:
