What a loverly idea it was to mount the interior mirror on the windshield! NOT!

In the 7 years I've owned Klementine, that darned thing has fallen off 5 times! With the exception of the last time, I've used those DIY kits you buy at the parts store to remount the mirror. The last time lasted a whopping 18 months! So today, after the mirror fell off the day before yesterday, I went to a local glass shop, where they used a Loctite concoction to hold it on. Cost? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I should've done this before.

funny the only one i've seen come off is the one in my old mans but a little kid tried to hang on it of course it was going to come off....

Any time I've used the magic goo they sell to attach them there thingamajiggies, I've never had an issue. I know that cleanliness is next to godliness in regards to using that goo.

You DO know how to read instructions, dontcha?

I take a piece of sandpaper and create a cross hatch, clean clean. Attach.

Smurf, the instructions even come with pictures, so I think I had it covered. Yes, I cleaned everything carefully.

Mr D/L has accidentally pulled mine off once... well sort of accidentally.
I think he said, "Do you really gotta keep hanging all this stupid CRAP up?!??"
And Pfffftt! Suddenly, it fell off.
But he's glued it back & did a fine job too. Cuz it's holds more stuff than EVER now!

I've had a few spontaneously fall off, but not the same one 5 times.
I just use the glue I get at autozone. razorblade the spot on the windshield where it goes and clean it with isopropyl alchohol. It evaporates and leaves no residue.
