quick question... What is the recommended spindle nut torque on a 91 2WD? We seemed to think about 35 ft lbs...

The Manual says 12 ft lbs to seat, back off and hand tight then back off 1/4 to 1/2 turn to install cotter pin. I install the tire tight with cap off, kick the top or bottom of tire with my knee and tighten until I can't feel play then install pin.

Yea, thats what we do at our shop. Except instead of kicking the tire, we spin it.

I didn't mean kick it but nudge it with my knee and stop tightening it when no noticeable play is felt.
