Hello guys and gals, it's been a while since I last posted an update on Big Blue, so I thought I would finally show where I am at. It's been a busy last 4 months, and mostly the bodywork/painting has been holding me up. There is a ton of pictures, so hold on...

-A.C.C. Black Carpets, and Fat Mat Insulation
-New Grill, Angel Eye Projector Headlights
-Wings West Bodykit
-Drop Leafs, Belltech Shocks
-White Face gauges
-VR3 Mp3, DVD Headunit
-New Catback Exhaust

Things I still have to put on thats sitting in the garage:
-Side Skirts
-Painted Carbon Fiber Hood
-Cats Eye Grill w/ Billet insert
-Finish Exhaust, High Flow cat

Very nice! I like the bumpers....subtle and smooth but better than stock. How do you like your LED tail lights?

Thanks everyone, it's been a slow process, but it's slowly coming together. Hopefully August I will be able to show my face at the local drive-in's.

The Wings West kit is IMO one of the subtlest bodykits that you can get for the Astro, a lot of the other ones are a little to wild for me. I love my taillights, I think they flow better than any of the other aftermarket taillights I've tried before. I also tinted them above the backup light to make them a low key.

I would like to give it a full paint job later down the road, most likely it will be some shade of blue, but I love silver/gray paint, and black (but would never want to deal with a black car again).

Do you guys think the rims I have on there look like 18" rims? I never would have dreamed of going that big on the van, I thought the 17's were big before, now these 18's look almost a hair small. I think it has a lot to do with how the polished lip rolls up....

your van's looking pretty good to me...i was thinking about getting the same head unit, how do you like it? if i decide to get some no window barn doors, i 'll hook a camera to the head unit for a rear view camera...

Very nice! You're on the right track, no doubt. Just don't go painting it any shade of green [-X :vom:

I wanted a single din head unit with a built in LCD that I could add external lcd's to as well (I plan on adding one or two in my center console down the road). I also wanted to add a reverse camera, which I have laying around in the house now, I noticed it only has 2 outputs, but no inputs. It might be a misprint on the headunit, if it is not then I will most likely just run the camera to the lcd that is gonna be in the console and just press the button to switch inputs. Anyway.... as far as the headunit I love how you can have a 2GB SD card in there. That means 450 mp3 songs at 128kb quality with no skipping! Plus you can leave it in there and always have music, mpegs, avi, jpgs, etc. It also has the possibility of of Dolby 5.1 if you add a center speaker. The only few quirks I have found with it are 1. Slow to initiate ( I understand the SD card since of its size), 2. Clock sometimes resets 3. Some operations you have to use the remote.

But for the price of $180 it's a huge bang for the buck.

Don't worry, I'm not gonna make another pickle. Big Green would sound kind of weird anyway... people might be trying to score something sticky out of the van.
