I don't recall there ever being a number thrown out there for the stock clutch fan. I do know, if you switch to an electric fan you need at least 3000 CFM to cool right.

this is what i was thinking dual 12in fans one comes on at 180 degrees and the other comes on automatic with a/c compressor and both runs at 195 degrees.

12" fans won't cool your engine enough! I ran dual 12" and then swapped one of the 12" fans for a 14" and it still was not adequate for any towing. The engine would stay just cool enough with the van empty though.

Those tiny 10" fans will NOT cool your engine sufficiently.

This is the same problem you run into on a v8 s10 with ac, cooling.
I have been through every kind of fan you can think of,only thing that would cool it with ac was a stock "7" blade fan off of a blazer and a HD clutch AND A CUSTUME made SHROUD!!
No ac, just about anything would cool it......
94 Astro cargo EXT----Bought specifically to mod!!Will be tbi 350 v8 and new front end conversion
Done so many v8 s10's their old news

this is a dual 16 in electric fans they are suppose to produce 6000 CFM and pull between 28-36 amps these should cool the engine and the a/c very well right?

You're on the right track if you're going for the max. But the 294 is a 31" wide assembly. You'll need the 295 which will fit your rad width at 28". I run the 295.

If you are going to use the "295" like Peter has, you can ditch the stock clutch fan!
