Any of you guys seen or heard of this system before ?
One time charge of 29.99. Sounds to good to be true to me but what do I know ?

Nope, haven't seen that one. It does sound too good to be true.
I bet it would frustrate me even more than my cable with that many channels. I can't find much I want to watch with number of channels I have now.

It could be true. The questions I have are what is the quality like? What will it be like if I am watching a program on it, and someone else in the house is using something bandwidth intensive (downloading something or voip or something like that)?

Finally this is my thought, to use this I would have to hook my pc up to my TV or simply watch it on the pc. Neither of those is very convenient with my current setup.

As someone who doesn't have cable, I'd be willing to give it a try. Though, I am skeptical of the reliability of it as well. No where on the website (that I saw anyways) does it show ALL of the channels. It just lists a few and "hundreds more".

Personally, I don't care for "hundreds" of channels. All I want is a few tv channels, maybe 15 tops. The problem is in order to get those 15 channels, with cable, you've got to buy into all those package deals $75 (or more) later, it's not such a good deal...

Maybe next payday if I have some cash to spare, I'l try it out and let you all know....

It's OK if you want to receive really obscure channels showing programs that are totally uninteresting.

So basically it is the same as cable, but instead you receive well known channels that are totally uninteresting.

Jim, you sure hit the nail on the head.

These channels are COMPLETELY UNKNOWN. There's nothing known about these channels. It'd be like going into a library and finding books on nothing you know, i.e., The Mating Habits of Banana Slugs During High Tide.

I fell for it. I couldn't even find any foreign channels that I was even remotely aware of.

Sure, but it's got Spike TV, that alone would be worth a "one time " fee of 29.97 IMO

sooo... aside from the really obsure channels, which I kinda expected since they didn't list all the channels, how was the service and reliability of it all?

Hey, if I could watch Heros, CSI, Bones, and get the various shows like Trucks and the like on Spike, I would be happy to get rid of my monthly bill. Having said this I still wonder how well it would run when my wife or myself are using a computer to browse the internet at the same time we are watching TV. We do that often enough.

it's probably not a scam.. but, it's not as easy and clear as it seems I don't think.

it's going to be FTA (free-to-air) but streaming over the net.

I don't think it will be 'up' or broadcasting all the time.

FTA is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free-to-air

Mike, did you sign up on the 29.00 plan or the one time 49.00 one which supposedly includes premium channels ?
Keith, are you saying you signed up for their two year plan or are you on something different ?
