On the build sheet for my van, there is a spot which shows front and rear weight. I know its not the gross weight, so it makes sense to be the actual weight without any gas in it.

It dhoes 2370 in front, 2039 in rear, which is 4409. That is for a 97 Astro LT, RWD, FE2, Rear air, two benches, cloth, no rear heat, factory tow package. That should give you an idea.

I believe a gallon of gas weighs about six pounds? So 25 gals would be 150 pounds more.

My 305 '89 weighs in at 4600 lbs with a full tank and me sitting in it, in case you're still curious about Astro weights.

Sorry, S10-den, for some reason this post didn't get flagged as new, so I didn't see it until now.
To answer your question, though, it's not a conversion van, just a regular window van.

I take my van over the scale at the local land fill quite often.
With a 1/4 tank of fuel my 1990 cargo shorty is about 3900#.
When I first got the Van It was completly empty with no pannels on the walls, no stereo, just an empty cargo. It weighed in at 3700# with no fuel.(right on E) This was on the local truck scale. So it looks like my V8, stereo, and pannels added around 200#
Hope this helps.
