Ive seen & heard a bit about Taurus E-fan coversions.
I am in the process of doing the conversion on my 350 stro.
Typical uses are daily street driving,no towing/off roading.
I plan to use alluminum stock & bend it to match factory mount locations.
Is it ideal to perhaps use "flaps" or holes drilled accordingly to allow some
air to flow thru the alluminum shroud or just use the fan cut out area with no flaps or holes??.
Thanks.

Re: Ideal Shroud for Taurus E-fan
The shroud that comes with the fan is pretty good by itself. I just cut the very top of my original shroud to use as the mount to hold the radiator in place.

Re: Ideal Shroud for Taurus E-fan
I have thought about mounting it that way but I would preffer not to.
I will end up using a custom built shroud.

Re: Ideal Shroud for Taurus E-fan
you need to make sure the fan is nice and air tight for that fan to work right.I used them on my v8 s10's didnt work worth a poo.I used some foam(plastic) to make it nice and air tight,so the fan is pulling through the rad,not around the shroud....Ill find some pics....
