Good luck to all, plenty of warm water around, and no more land to slow it down, I'd be worried too.

We're all ready in case it turns east towards Biloxi or Pensacola. Got some stuff cooked on the grill yesterday and will probably do more tonight after we get back from the Casino.
Called my Gulf Coast friends and told all them they had a place to stay if it headed their way.

Skip,,keep an eye out for the one just behind Gustav.

This could be another bad one. I'm glad to see the folks in New Orleans getting out. We'll probably get some wind and rain. Larry, the guys at the hurricane center are projecting a high pressure area will steer Hanna off to the east. We watch closely, though. You guys will probably get some weather out of this one.

Good luck to any guy's/gal's on the gulf coast over the next few hours, we are getting your news here in the UK, although they are saying its just a cat3 storm now, they are still saying that severe damage is possible all along the coast to Texas.
Stay safe people!

Susan and I headed south today along with Julie, Susan's daughter,, to the Indian reservation casino as part of Susan's 60th Birthday present. As you can see, we were just about the only people going south. North bound was packed with folks leaving the Gulf Coast area. By the way,we didn't bring back any winnings but had a good time. Arrived back in Evergreen about 8:30pm. All the fast food spots were packed along with the gas stations on our exit.

Here's a shot of the north bound lanes around noon today.

Hope you're out of New Orleans by early morning at the latest. East side of N.O. looks like it'll be rough.

WOO-Hoo

Storm passed to the south and west. Moderate thunderstorm conditions here..not good for the coast itself, but the major metro areas are out of danger.

Thanks for watching..
