After checkin out T Low's blast from the past Bullitt car chase scene yesterday,I decided to head on down to the local car cruisin night.
You couldn't have asked for better weather and there were easily over 200 cars to check out, I didn't find the elusive Charger and Stang combo, but I think I did pretty good nevertheless and besides, admission was free. :supz:

So, without further adieu...

Boy,,the 2 door 57 Ford wagon brough back a few. My Mom had a white 2 door that I learned to drive with. And the 55, I had several during high school. What a car,,I think one of the best GM ever built.
Thanks for sharing the pics and bringing back a few great memories.

Ooooh, I just love that stacked headlight GTO...I learned to drive in my parents '64 Pontiac Safari station wagon and it also had the vertical headlights like the GTO. I guess I've got a soft spot in my head for that style of Pontiac.

great pics zam. i keep meaning to get out to the weekly A&W cruise here but timing is always tight or I totally forget to go over and snap some pics.
it's a different perspective on cruise nights up here as opposed to down south ... different cars and different ways of doing them...

thanks for posting the pics

Great pics Zam! Was that purple panel wagon a Jeep? The flat front fenders make me think so.

Loved that old black chevy(48-54 I think) too.

Glad you enjoyed the pics

I believe it was a Jeep Cecil, the front grill def had the jeep styling to it,I tried getting a pic but there was always someone in the way lol, so I had to move onto other vehicles.

Crash: That was held at a place called Johnny B's just a little north of Powerline road on your way into Paris, our local A&W cruises are usually on a wed night here in B ville.

Of all the '57 cars, a '57 Ford 2 door wagon is my fav. That is a sweet one! I almost bought a '57 delivery, a few years back. Still kick myself for not snagging it when I had the chance.
