Stopping by to say hello to everyone...

Post by 91AWDAstro »

Glad to see the site still going and eveyone still here. I've been away for a while getting adjusted to the changes in my life.

Unfortunately I’ve had some bad luck with the Astro. It started running like it was missing one day a few months back. After painstakingly checking every possibility, I had to take a break from it because of all the moving I had to do. I decided to use it even with the way it was running to move some larger items in my garage. Then it decided to get worse. It won’t even stay running and is acting like a cloged catalytic converter, though I fear it may be something worse. Because I gave the house to the X which included the garage and I’m temporarily renting so I don’t really have a place to work on it. My tools are scattered between my mothers and a storage unit. I had to swallow my pride and drop it off at a friends for him to work on it. He hasn’t looked at it yet, I’m crossing my fingers it’s nothing major.

Anyway just wanted to give an update on my status and will try and hang out on the site as time permits.

I just did the same thing on my wifes van (96astro) was running like a bag of shyte , knew the cat was bad so i replaced that & when i did it seamed to run worse so i broke down & bought all the tune up parts (plugs wires cap & rotor ) I'm glad i did cuz it runs better now than the day i bought it .

Also glad to hear your getting your life back in order , divorces can really screw a persons mind set up big time . it takes time but you'll be your old self before you know it . Welcome back !!!! :supz:
