driving from the captains seat

Post by pengyou »

I just saw an ad for a captains seat from an astro. It has arm rests which I guess is what makes it a captains seat.

Do armrests make driving more comfortable? easier?

Also do any stock rear bench seats fold out flat - bed style?

What makes it a Captain's Chair is the swivel base, not the armrests.

Driving with armrests can be comfortable IF they support the entire forearm. The ones on the AstroSafari family only support 1/2 the forearm. On my Freightshaker, they came all the way to my wrists.

Stock rear bench seats do not fold flat to form a bed. For that, you'd need a conversion bed.
