Hey y'all
Just thought I would introduce myself. Just bought an 99 Astro, based off the feedback that they are a great winter vehicle. So far so good. Upstate New York gets more then its share of snow. Have no plans on turning it into a "SPB" just reliable transportation for work and trips with the family.

Welcome! Being in Florida, I don't have to worry about having a good winter vehicle, but I can say they are great "anytime" vehicles!
Stick around, you'll enjoy it here!

my 99 slt awd has 180,000 on the original engine and tranny, and still runs like a champ, it was a daily driver in wisconsin for its first 7 years and now resides in mt hood oregon where we also get plenty of snow, hell i even had it in Johnson City NY about five years ago in its winter season, its been well traveled and loves the snow. i eventually put on some american racing wheels but kept my stock alloys and mounted some Blizzack snow tires on them for the winter months must say its a noticeable improvement in the traction, and keeps my chrome away from the salt.
