refinishing wheels

just wondering if anyone has ever refinished aluminum wheels?

the blisters of oxidization removal and reclearing is kind of what i'm getting at?

tips, tricks for the DIY'er

be cautious, my friends dad took all the finish off his alloys from his 95 chevy silverado and polished them, they looked 100 times better at first but after awhile they began to corode and looked terrible.

Most alloys are sealed with a clearcote finish, that is probably why the wheels looked sdo bad after he took off the clearcote and polished the aluminum. Remember kids, you need to re-coat the wheels after you polish them, just like when they were made the first time! :whistle:
