Yes Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus...

Well, I’ve gone and done it.

My 94 Safari is heading toward nickel and dime land. :goodman:
It’s logged 100 K over the last three years, on top of the 80 and change original.
It’s been well used for work and personal.
Rode hard and put away wet.

It suffered severe (ins co ‘totaled’ it) cosmetic abuse a year and a half ago.
At the hands of an uninsured 18 year old who didn’t know how to drift the tank he was pretending to drive. )>)
From my left…
Through a side street stop sign at 50 mph, trying to negotiate a right hand “turn” into my hood.
No frickin’ way was he taking out my front end!!!!
I tried the motorcycle evasion tact of whipping to my left and jamming it hard to get by.
The ol’ steed just ain’t got the git-up-n-go my bike has…
His ass end caught and my passenger and slider doors didn’t make out too well.
Nor did his convertible Sebring’s (tank) fender….
Pry bars can be your friend… :axe:
Fortunately for the driver and his 3 white trailer trash, hood riding buds there were witness…umm…people…looking at the accident... ](*,)
I applied said pry bar to his fender to help him get off the residential street and get my doors open…waiting for PD and FD arrival…
No blood; all the PD/FD guys said I tried the only available move…he got his ticket; I got 700 for my headache.
Thanks Progressive...didn't tell me I only had unins motorist MEDICAL...but not prop damage.

Still drives/rides decent (all doors still open and shut), but it’s old(er) and I don’t have extensible funds.

Santa was good to me this year.
Unexpected company bonus, slight trust fund distribution, escrow account payback, etc…ahhh, the stories of my ability to just find things I need/want out of thin air….

New steed:
Construction white 99 Astro LS. :supz:
102 K.
Cosmetics are pretty good. Got the LS works.
Nice upgrade from the stock passenger 94.
Console, rear heat/ac, dutch doors, rack, good sound system and AWD.
$2600.
Downside? No tow package.

Yes, it has the dreaded injector issues. 8-[
Not bad, but very noticable in comparison to a 94 TBI.
The guy selling it ain’t very mechanical. Thought it was just a gutless ride.

Is an MPFI upgrade in my future cards?
Or is a good cleaner out there on my horizon?

Oh yeah, Aamco ‘rebuilt’ tranny. First to second is a HOOT! #-o

On to the tech forums! :prayer:

Yes Virginia, there IS a Santa Clause! :yawinkle:

A two-cousin stable!

Pat

Congrats on the new purchase! :bounce: You might be able to run some Seafoam or GM top end cleaner through her to make her run better. The only thing the tow package gets you is the hitch and possibly the wiring (all 8 wires as opposed to 6) located in the right rear compartment that has the jack in it.

Thanks,gents!

I've been searching and reading; hadn't got to the Seafoam solution.

i checked my posts... the cleaner is from GM .. if you tell the parts person 'it's for the sticky poppets' they'll know which one you are talking about.
