What's this color?

Been deciding for a few months now on a color for my lifted 93 Astro, finally decided that I would go with this color below.

Anyone have the color code for this van above? Sure is a sweet ride. Not sure of the year, 95-02? One day, if I ever have the time again, I sure would like to put one together, exactly like this one.

I found this picture of an Astro for sale a few months ago, in Ca. Not sure if the owner is a member, I hope you don't mind me using it in this post.

If you are not sure where to find your color code number, it is located on the Manufacture Build Tag, found inside the glove box.

I should be a WA- XXXX number, it would be listed at the bottom of the tag, found inside the glove box. Otherwise, would anyone have an idea?

Thanks

i'm going to guess it's a 95/96 ... I can check the chip book when i get into work this morning. it's much easier than picking a name that sounds like the color LOL

It's my guess this van has been in an accident and has been repainted.
Note the missalignment of the door and hood gaps as well as the headlights and turn signals. It could be a shadow, but the rear quarter panel seems to be a different colour all together.
It's basicly a medium blue, but like with any GM product you could have a 100 medium blue vehicles and not have 10 or more of them the exact same colour.
Not to mention your computer can throw the colour off too.
If you cannot contact the owner, try printing it and taking copy into a paint shop for a computer colour match.

Thanks Crash, Kabey,

Ya I noticed the headlights too. I wonder if they just got lazy putting back together? So you don't think this is a Stock Astro color? Ok. You are right too, there could be hundreds of GM Blue, and the computer doesn't do it much justice either. Thanks for the help, hope Crash can figure this one out, or anyone else here have a clue.

Thanks

96+ for sure. look at the dash. the 95s had the first gen dash.

I do not think it is a factory colour... the finish does not look right, and never seen it before... it looks kind of matte...

On a side note, in '05 I saw a few astros come threw the shop with very missaligned front ends... had to send a few back to GM they were so bad.

I think your right Someone. It has that Dupont Chroma paint look to it.
Really, you had to send units back because of miss alignment. Gotta love that GM quality.
No wounder there going broke.

Thanks Kabey,

That looks very similar, at least I can check the paint store for their sample colors, see if that matches the van above.

Thanks crash, appreciate the help. I will check my paint store Monday, and see how close they can get. I thought for sure this was a stock GM Color. I have seen a few pictures of these vans in the same color.

I believe it is the stock colour, Marina Blue. It's just been tranformed with a pearl, or a matte finish or chroma paint.

I think Kabey is correct. I bought a 66 SS Chevelle (special order) with Marina Blue. It was a Chevrolet exclusive that year. \:D/
