The more I put on the gas the louder it gets, expecialy when in low gear going up hil, Im thinking its the fan clutch stuck. Can anyone tell me which brand is good and how to install it? Have an idea but need a helping hand.
If your going up hill your creating a lot of heat. The heat will cause the clutch in the fan to kick on. This is normal. You should check your clutch sitting still and your van warming up. Step on the gas. If it sounds like a bunch of rushing air then the clutch may be stuck. Kind of doubt it.
There is a TSB on the noise complaint. It basically said tell the customer it's supposed to be loud. I haven't seen a GM fan clutch that has failed on anything in a long time.
