So i was under the hood this morning checking fluid levels and i noticed my serpentine belt shook i started looking at all the components and everything seemed to be turning true then i noticed my belt tensioner seemed to skip.... so my question is do you think it's just the pull on the tensioner(which i have an extra one of) or the actually assembly

By this do you mean it moves a lot? It will. As your engine speed changed and loads on the belt change the tensioner will adjust to keep the belt tight. The only thing you have to keep an eye on is if the pulley bearing is wearing out.

it looked like it jumped off the belt, for a split second i could see between the tensoiner pulley and the surpentine belt it's was at idle and i didn't notice any change in engine speed. It's looked like it did it every 2 or 3 rotations of the belt

I could second it, but I have no idea what I am talking about so my second means nothing. I should probably have a look on my van as it has been a while since I have checked.

If there's any trouble with the tensioner, change it. I've seen them self destruct. They wear out just like everything else. \:D/

Yup, my first one blew apart at around 50K miles! (On a cold [+5F] Friday night just a few miles out of Bangor, ME, while headed to Aroostook County for a weekend of snowmobiling....)
