How-to: Reading Spark Plugs

Post by Sublimewind »

Hi all,

There has been some discussion about making up some how to's, so i thought i might run a few things past ya'll..

There is much that can be learned from the art of reading spark plugs and i found some interesting info on the subject... This isn't so much a "How To" as it is links to GREAT information...

First is a link to some GREAT info about very specific plug reading info, including being able to tell were your timing is at based on the plug itself.

Next is a site that is an excellent source for examples of WHAT your looking at... and some explainations of the various problems that can bee seen in reading plugs....

Here is some more great info....

A little blurb from NGK (the only plug i'll use in my Subaru)

Oh, and the link to the Google page i used to get the info in about 5sec

Any mods want to consider sticking this up, please, it's why i made it up...
Thanks,
Aaron
