Greetings from the "Southern Most" Safari Van Owner

Post by cudjoewill »

Greetings all.

I am the proud owner of a 2000 GMC Safari AWD van, which I use to pull a boat and get around down in the lower keys (close to key West). I recently found your forum and can't tell you how much info i have already put to use. Thank you!

I purchased the van on ebay (90k miles for $3K) from the North and have just about replaced all the salt damaged parts (lesson learned). Just a few left. After reviewing several of the threads on this forum i can see adding a little lift maybe overhaul the suspension.

Keeping my eye on the Towing and performance threads especially.

Anyway really enjoying the site. Thanks!

Cudjoewill

PS Will post a pic of Van with boat in tow later "It's a beautiful thing"

Good to see you here. Some great folks on ASV's. Welcome.
Stay out of Sloppy Joe's down there in KW.
My X was from KW and we hung out at some bar on top of a closed Hotel down there. What a blast that was. Long time ago when life was easy.

YA gotta post some pics of the van and also the beach and water down there. Our norhthern friends would really enjoy seeing real beaches and clear water.

Welcome to the site. Watch out, I think someone from Chile might challenge the Southern Most claim.
