ok here is an update i moved out of my mom house back in june and she took my 1992 astro from me cause it was still in her name and she got pissed at me for moving out so i got a new astro van it is a 1993 astro with the cpi fuel injection i bought it for $50 it is real nice it suppose to run and drive only he said was wrong was someone stole the wheels. ok so i put a battery in it it turns over fine but don't start it don't seem to be fireing i put gas into the intake and that did not do anything what could the problem be? p.s. has all new sensors, plugs, cap, rotor, wires.

Welcome back. What color spark,if any,are you getting off one of the spark plug wires??.Might want to do a fuel pressure test in any case. Please keep us updated.

well i have not exactly check the spark because i don't think that it is getting spark cause i dump some gas into the intake and it had plenty of gas it still did not fire at all.

Bryan,
I know, with as much time you have been on the site, the normal things to check out with these vans.I suggesting you double check if you have any spark at all.I am surprised to hear you have a "w" block cpi in a 1993.I thought they started in 1994.

no the "w" started in 1992 as a option. also how long is the oil dipstick suppose to be cause i think the one it has is too long and is messed up i fould it in the back seat so i don't know if it goes to the van and tommorow i will check for spark.

I would pull the cap and some plugs to have a look at what they are like. In fact just changing the plugs, wires, cap and rotor might be a good idea as if they are worn they can cause a turn over with no start, especially with nothing happening with the gas in the intake.
