A while ago I had a problem with the front brakes on my ford e150 van the calipers were sticking and wearing the inner pads to nothing quick, and wearing the rotors inside too. So I did the logical thing and bought new rotors, calipers, Pads, & rubber lines. a friend and I bled the brakes like 15 times and never got any pedal even though the fluid was coming out clear and strong from every where it was bled (master, ABS box, rear brakes, and front brakes. If we pumped the pedal up the brakes worked but the pedal went to the floor. The problem? The calipers were unknowingly on the wrong sides and therefore the bleeders were on the bottom of the calipers instead of on top and so an air pocket formed above the bleeders and never went away. I hope this helps someone in the future.

I did that to my Beretta GT once. I couldn't figure out what the problem was and I followed the instructions that came with the new calipers.
Took it to a shop and ended up paying a little over $500 to have the brakes done all around. Everything was replaced from the master cylinder to the brake pads.

Learned my lesson that time.

Little reminders like this come in handy. A few weeks ago, my son and I replaced the calipers on the front of his jeep. I pulled both out of the boxes without really thinking about it, and then had the uh oh moment...which one is which? This post came to mind and we were off and running. (or stopping, or something...) You just never know how a post might help.
