Here's the schematic I drew up after studying the factory wiring manual for the 1989 Astro blower motor circuit. I thought it might come in handy for others.
Although this is for an '89, I'm sure it would work for earlier vans--maybe even newer ones.

I love the drawings, too, DubyaBee. I almost enjoy an electrical problem on my van...Get to go through the electrical manual, make a drawing for guidance, figure out the problem...
God, do I ever need help.
