Where is my Cruise Control Module?

89 Astro, 4.3z 700r4. The stickers say mine was built WITH c/control.
The turn signal lever has the appropriate switches for c/control.

Where is the c/control module on my 89?

A photo of the monster would be a groovy thing.

It's not this vertical, rectangular thing, next to the the master cyl, is it?

Some place in this photo?

Drooler is right. Follow the two cable connections on your throttle. One is connected to your gas pedal and the other goes to the vacuum servo for the cruise. I believe the module that controls the cruise system is attached to the same bracket as the vacuum servo. The module you pointed out in the pictures is the controller for your Rear Wheel Anti-Lock, I think. I can't be sure because my '87 just has regular brakes.

So the electronic module AND the vacuum servo flying saucer are in the same area, inside the doghouse, rear of the air cleaner/TBI?

I think you'll find the control module under the dash on the driverside. A black box with wires/connector on one end. Part number 25111872.

I saw one today at the scrap yard, that module is behind where the parking brake release lever is (or hood, whatever is on right side :)

Is there anyone with an 89 that can say where theirs is, please?

I've gotten a lot of answers, here and elsewhere. Narrows it down to
Left of driver underdash, right driver underdash, driver side eng compartment,
passenger side eng compartment, interior passenger side near door lock module,
behind speedo-gauge cluster left side, behind speedo-gauge cluster right side,
top of engine behind TBI, under subframe near fuel filter,
tailshaft housing near front U joint.

Obviously, different year models put the thing
in different places.

The "Module" I'm looking for is the rectangular, black,
electronic box, as in -

Any 89 owners with cruise control out there?

Thanks -

OK. Found the cruise control servo near the ThrotBody. The linkage to the TBI
is missing. Now I'm off to pull a part to find a replacement.

Thanks all.

It separates the stock elec loads from the add-on loads.
2/0 cable from battery to 100A circuit breaker. The stock
stuff (ign, lights, horn etc) all draw their power from there,
BEFORE the circuit breaker. They all are fed via the stock
fuses, fusible links etc. The add-on stuff (ham radios, off road lights,
MyRide shock controller etc) all draw their power from AFTER the
100A breaker.

The black mounting plate you see behind the breaker and relays
is 1/2 inch thick plexiglass, sprayed with black RTV on the back
side, where it's bolted to the sheet metal.
