Chevy & GMC Vans

I have a 2wd 1999 astro. I live in so. illinois near St. Louis. I have no mods yet, but many ideas. I want to swap in a 5.3 since there are a few sitting at the salvage yards for cheap. Doing the research to see what is needed. I would build it up with comp cams and banks power add ons b4 installing it in the van. Planning on a 2/3 drop. 18 or 20" wheels. I plan on installing some polk audio speakers by years end. Other than that just fantasizing about what I can do to it.

As a guy who has a 5.3L sitting in the shop and plans on putting it in my '96.... go for a 5.7L instead! The 350 swap is much easier and the mounts are readily available. (Not to mention swap guides too!)
