Yet another AS transplant

Post by 2000AWD »

hello all:

I've been a member at the other forum for a couple of years (97AstroLS). Decided to follow the mass exodus with the recent round of problems. Sold my 97 a couple of years ago and decided to buy another van a few months ago. Happy to be back vanning again! \:D/ I plan on installing a B&M tranny cooler and an Autometer two gauge A-pillar pod with an Autometer tranny temp gauge when all of the parts get here in the next couple of weeks. I'm going to attempt my first complete photo documentation of the install as my small contribution for all I've learned from everyone else over the last few years! More mods to come after that!

Thanks,

Jay

If it won't fit, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway!

If you drive illegally, they take your driver's license. If you're here illegally, they want to give you one :)

I know! The more I read the worse it gets! I know I definitely want to lift, although I don't know how high yet. OLV has the new 6" AWD lift but man is it pricey! Then regearing and a V-8 are on the wish list, but that will be awhile down the road. The 4.3 only has 70K on it right now, so no sense in fixing what isn't broken.

Thanks for the welcome folks!
