I got the whole 11 inch set up from a caprice wagon and had the drums turned and bought all new hard ware but when I went to install it the backing plates were the wrong ones. Can anyone tell me which ones do fit? and can I buy them New?

If I am not mistaken, you can weld the old holes shut, grind them flat, then drill new holes to match yours. You just have make sure that you`re dead center on you`re backing plate.Drilling the new holes on a drill press will make it easier & more accuarate. :-k

Why do you think the backing plates are wrong?

The bolt pattern is wrong and the hole is bigger

I have searched hi and low for the correct backing plates,to no avail....GM dealerships don't have them and everywhere I have called has no source for them either...

To bad one of us couldn't make some of these up and sell them I mean there must still be cars out there that need them besides us for our vans.
