SafAstro???

I have recently started referring to our beloved 4 wheeled friends as SafAstros in my posts. I realized that I was always just calling them Astros and so I wanted to come up with a better term. I'm not doing this out of some feeling that I need to be politically correct and not hurt any Safari owners feelings. After all, it is their fault that they bought the lesser Safari instead of the Astro, now they have to live with their mistake.

So I vote for SafAstro.

I bet we could maybe come up with something better though, or perhaps more humorous anyway, if we put all of our brains together on this one. Sorry I will be reserving my remaining two functioning brain cells to run the mixer on the rest that get sent to the project.

Both terms have been around for years. There are even a couple of members at As.com with those names. And anybody with any sort of semblance of intelligence knows that Safaris are much more regal than Astros!! Astros are like the "trailer park" cousin to the "gated community" Safaris!! $\:D/$

That's pop-up trailer park Trybe, geesh, get it right.

Besides I would rather be able to paint my Astro whatever color I wanted and work on it in the drive way with out getting a fine or getting kicked out.

I dunno. we should avoid anything with a s s in it.

Since I sold my Astro I can go back to being a Safarisnob! J/K

I just use AstroSafari- or Strofari, which I think sounds beter than the others

don't know if Astro's are lesser Safari's but I do like the Safari name better than Astro... I thought the name sucked when it came out...... to bad they didn't think to make a shorty, ext and super or maxi version.... (the normal small, medium, large thing....)

Maybe the high top on the ext would qualify as Maxi...... its ashame the tops never got any higher than they did, the part over the front, drivers compartment didn't need the height.... 12" or 18" over the cargo part would be nice....
