New obsession

Post by firemaniac »

Hey all I am new here, I used to check out the old sight but it started frusterating me when I could not accass it because it was down.

I am a volenteer Fire Captian and a EMT in Snohomish county WA but I deliver Lighting products to fund my obsessions/hobies

I bought my 99 AWD in Feb of 06 with the intention of it becomong a cruiser/camper thus the removable rear seats were a must with long term plans for a mild lift and ditch the car tires for some all terrains. As most projects evolve over time it is becoming a emergency response veichel as well.

Just looked through my puter and no pics of the van #-o will have to post some later.

Welcome.

I think that there is a special entrance to Heaven for those that have a heart for volunteering.
I was told getting my beauty sleep was a waste of time.

1990 Astro (Z motor) mostly original @ 343,584 miles (552,944.8488960001 Canadian) (03/2008). Bad startup puff. Starting to spray for skeeters. Gone 06/07/08.
1993 Astro with a bad W motor. Parked next to a chicken coop in Talking Rock GA
I'm 'tween Canton and Holly Springs (North NorthWest of Atlanta GA)
I haul bottled water everyday- between 500 and 2500 pounds (226.796185 and 1,133.980925 Canadian) INSIDE the van.

Welcome new member. I dunno if there's much you can do to these trucks as far as mods go. Rumour has it that some have installed bullet-proof Dana axles, solid front ends and big engines in them, but you can't believe everything you read. I'm sure that you could prolly tint the windows though. As well, mud-flaps are quite the rage now, that's another option. But as far as engines/trannys/diffys/lift kits/tires go, I dunno
