trans temp guage
has any one installed a trans temp guage, im thinking on installing on and am wonder what i need to buy and what is involved, my alrady has a trans cooler. also posted on as.com

Trent, try looking here. I know that Rufus started a pictorial on how to install one. Not sure if he actually ever posted the gauge and wiring part of it.

I installed one in my 98 as well as my 03. I bought an Autometer gauge and it came with the sender. Just install the sender in the test port of the tranny and wire it up. I had posted pics a while ago of the 98 and I need to get pics of the 03's installation.

The test port is easy but it only gives you the temperature by osmosis. The fluid slams up to the sending and stops moving. There is no fluid flow to read. The best location is the out line. That fluid just left the TC.
I was told getting my beauty sleep was a waste of time.
1990 Astro (Z motor) mostly original @ 343,584 miles (552,944.8488960001 Canadian) (03/2008). Bad startup puff. Starting to spray for skeeters. Gone 06/07/08.
1993 Astro with a bad W motor. Parked next to a chicken coop in Talking Rock GA

I haul bottled water everyday- between 500 and 2500 pounds (226.796185 and 1,133.980925 Canadian) INSIDE the van.
