Remove blue loctite from distrib. cap retaining holes?

Post by cf100mk5 »

Hi. I think this forum is an awesome resource.!! :supz: I have a question regarding replacing distributor cap.My replacement cap came with a warning about cleaning out any blue loctite in the retaining holes of the distributor otherwise the distributor housing could crack when reinstalling the dist.cap screws. Should I heed this warning or just reinstall the screws carefully and slowly? Thank-you in advance.

Just be careful to not over tighten otherwise it will crack. Welcome! :supz:
