Hello from Denver

Post by IT Astro »

Hey Everybody,

So, I bought my van in October, and I've been reading up on this site since before than, so, thanks! This is my 2000 astro AWD, currently my girlfriend and I spend most weekends in it staying at different ski resorts. Here she is.

Also, I built in this little back hatch lever. Every time I'm in there with the heater going I always wish I had more exits.

now that its warm out it is time for the build. In order of priority

replace front drive shaft. (been hearing clicking all winter and I've finally tracked it down)
Build cabinetry and counter top. ( i'm hoping to find a foot pump to run a little sink)
I think I can take the Rear gate off of a nissan pathfinder and mount my propane tank to that ( needs more research)
Marine battery and electronics
4" lift, (looking into doing a suspension lift in front, need more research, how long would it take for my axles to wear out)
Fiberglass topper (i'm looking around some junk yards for one i can salvage, or maybe look into building my own)

So we'll see how much i get around to but, I'm pretty stoked about it.

Cheers,

Oh man. It looks so much better than my rusty 2000. How does the bed work?

Welcome!

Looks like you have a pretty good set-up for cold weather camping.

Welcome to the forum.
The Bed is just a 4" memory foam that I leave made and roll up. It fits behind the the back seat, and actually make it a lot easier the take the seat out. Planning to make a folding bed/ Bench. Westy Style I'm thinking.
