Just a few random guesses.......
Low Fuel Pump Output/pressure?
V6 Fuel Injectors on a V8?
Dirty, Clogged or sticking injectors/Air Intake filter/system?
Too much blood in the Alcohol system? :drinkers:

The trans fluid is great its still pulling when it hits the limiter or whatever.

the van is a 1994 shorty

If you dont lay it all the way one the floor it shift sooner and pulls hard.

if I give the number on the computer could someone tell me if it a V8 or not?

Service number: 16196395

Well what I was thinking is if it is a "E" tranny,Peter had bought a in-van programmer for his to control the shift points and how hard they are.But those are very expensive.Google that number and that should tell you which computer you have.

You just need to mess with the "kick down" cable and adjust your shift points just mark it before you start so you can put it back. Make a small adjustment then test drive it each time till your happy :supz:

Yeah-I would doubt it is programed the same from a V6 to a V8 to benefit the power curve of a V8.Might be the cheapest way to go is find which computer number was used for the donor and either swap chips if you can or computers. As I said,Peter's controller was big bucks, but did tons more than just being able to control shift points.

The ECM you have could be setup for multiple size engines. It is the 4 digit PROM code after the service number that tells you what it is programmed for. Peter bought the trans controller because the ECM for his Ramjet engine did not control a transmission like our ECM does. There is no rev limiter on your ECM. My guess would be the wrong PROM, low fuel pressure, wrong injectors or all of the above. Just so you know, a stock 350 TBI is very different from the V6 but it is no performance engine. You can get a mild performance PROM form TBIchips.com. That is what I always used. I'm guessing you did not do the conversion so you'll have to figure out what is in your van as you go along.

As you can easily see Lockdoc has built a number of his trannies and is a source of who's suggestions I think you should follow.

the four digit code is BHRD. No I didnt build the van guess i have alot of learn here. I've done a few v8

s10 builds but never used the TBI'S all were carbs. So please have patience with me. Id like to do a mild

performance 350 TBI.
