Hello From Race City USA

Hello,

I am from NC just bought a 89 GMC Safari. I have always liked these Vans and decided it was the time to get one.
Pictures are always best and they are below. It has 200k miles, and runs like a Top. When I bought it the fuel pump went out. so I cut a whole in the floor and
changed it right in the Sellers driveway lol. he was shocked. I plan on giving it some Graphics and using it for work and towing the Race car around.
it has the V6 and it a bit slow for my taste but the gas milage seems to be good.
Questions.
1. will any Gmc Safari or astro van high back drivers seat bolt to mine? (it has the shorty work seats with no head rest)
2. My fuel Gauge sits at half a lot when I take turns it goes down but never up. I am not sure if it is broken or barley working.
I put 20 in it yesterday after driving it a lot and the gauge went up a 1/4 of a tank. so not sure if it is working or not..
3. Where is a good place to get cheap parts? (i Know I have not searched the forum and I am sure these questioned have been
asked and ansered lol )

Parts I am wanting.

1. Mild brush bar or ram bar
2. Duel Exhaust
3. Rood Spoiler
4. Sportier Rims. like Craigers

Welcome

All non powered seats from 85-2005 Astros or Safaris have same bolt pattern to the seat & to the floor in the front. Except conversions, most of the rear bucket seats also have same bases.

There is not much to choose from in rims, 85-2002 have a 5x5 bolt pattern.

Welcome!

Parts? Aftermarket, I can't offer much. To keep it running, RockAuto.com!

Welcome! Race City? Must be from Winston-Salem area. Overlandvans.com would be the first place I'd
send you for after market parts. You could always pull the wheels and spoiler off your racecar and put
them on the van (hehehe).
Enjoy your new ride. It looks like a nice rig to start with. :guitar:

I know what you mean about waiting. If I'm in a hurry, I go to Autozone online and see if the part is nearby. If it is, great! If I'm going to have to order and wait a day, I'll just go RockAuto and wait 2-3. Can't beat their prices and choices!
