More pics coming up once i get the rest of my parts as i am still looking for the down pipe or Y pipe for it. my other oil pan is already painted and will be put on as soon as my rear main seal gets replaced.

looking forward to see this bad girl with a V8. actually dying for it.

Also forgot to mention that She will also get a 2" lift, rest of the suspension kit is yet to see. looking forward how she will look like when all this is done. and next year? body shop for a paint job

The only other issue that i have with this conversion is also to re-route my PCV valve and the other line that goes in the TBI system and might have to extend my oil filler neck, SO if you have any ideas to get around it? I am open for suggestions.

Just because the new Valve cover is and totally is different than my Astro's configuration, does the PCV valve makes any difference as of where it should be located?
as of now, on the Astro? it is located on the Passenger side, would it matter if it is on the driver side?
How about the tbi part of it? does it matter if it is on the passenger side instead of the driver side?

Looks Greaqt AquaAngel.
If ya need any parts, I'm not far from you, and have a fair amount of Gen1 parts.
I have some extra 2" blocks for lifting the rear,
and I have a set of brand new unused from OLV, Lift Coil Springs for about 1.5 inches of lift to the front of a 2wd van.

Ford Blue, yup, i know, i will give a different name. Chevy blue. sounds better as it is on a chevy motor RIGHT? lol
I love Blue

The header are from Flowtech. part number "91830FLT". bought them at Lordco.

Can't wait to hear the ROAR coming out of the Exhaust.

As for my close friend there? i will PM you. i definitely need some parts

Thats not FORD blue.... :axe:
It looks like the GM blue that they used to paint the GM marine engines with.
My friend had GM blue on his original GM250L6 OMC boat engine.
Oh, and I also have a GM Blue engine. The rattle can even said "GM Blue"
I was thinkin the same ford thing too, but when I saw that on the can, I was sold... Lol.

Nice! I am also a fan of the Chevy blue. They used blue on the V8's in the 80's and also on the inline 6 cylinders. I used valve covers from a Chevy full size van which allowed me to use the stock oil fill tube.

Those valve covers sure cleaned up nicely. Everything looks good so far. Not that you haven't already thought about it... but.... you may want to use the dipstick from the 4.3. The one that is on the engine now will make checking the oil a pain. :supz:

the oil dipstick was replaced from a Chevy Suburban 94, the latest pic has that one replaced, the straight one is now gone. :-$ :yellin:

this is my new dipstick, well sort of new off a Suburban 94 K1500 model

Also my Chrome oil pan is coming Wednesday, so for the time being, i will do the timing while the pan is off so i can find my TDC and do the proper timing work on it.
So i can fool around with the oil pump shaft if my dist shaft doesn't get in there properly.

Also picked up a Close to "NEW" tranny for the van. picked up at power House in Cumberland for 450 bux.
Tranny has about 2,500 km on it. beats from having my other one Rebuild.

Will soon start to take the van apart and do the swap. Dying to hear the motor going.

:muhaha:
