Motor under driver seat

was looking under my 96 astro the other day and noticed some kind or motor under the van below the driver seat. what is this for?

It is probably your fuel filter. It is right about there and could be mistaken for a electric motor at a quick glance is it possible to take a pic and post it? I thought the abs pumps were right under the brake booster under the hood I have never seen anything abs related under there.

abs makes sense, as there is also some kind of box that looks like some kind of control module...

Does it look like this? It sits on a bracket welded to the frame beside the transmission. On the 96 - 05 models that is where the ABS module was placed. The ECM is mounted about where the older model vans ABS module is.
