will the stock 1986 wheels fit?

Wasn't sure where to post this. I guess I'll start from the beginning. My cousin has a 1999 Chevy S-10 blazer v6 4x4. The body looks like swiss cheese and because of that is no longer street legal. My plan was to swap the engine and drivetrain into my 1986 Chevy astro v6 2wd but I want to keep a stock (or close to stock) ride height and reuse the factory steel astro wheels with the deep dish chrome beauty rings. So what I want to know is. . . Has anyone ever done something similar or know if my idea will work.

Thanks in advance.

The S10 Wheels will not fit an astro van.
S10 has a 5x4.75" pattern. Asrto has a 5x5" pattern.

That means that the "running Gear" from an S10, if you are talking about a rear axle, will not fit.
All the Driveshafts will not fit.

The engine will fit, physically, but you will need to change to a aftermarket intake manifold if you wanna keep the stock carb, or fuel injection.
that is Because the new engine has vortec heads that the old manifold cant bolt too.
The Trans is just not compatible.

Clear as mud ?
