Re: Trans cooler line o ring size?

Well after a ton or research and tearing it apart. The o ring is inside this threaded adapter between the line and the radiator. Fyi.

Re: Exo cage?

ive been doing a lot of thinking on this. and due to not being able to put a diagonal brace from one side to the other, I don't think much structure will be gained with this full exo cage idea. I tend to build things way overboard and the more time I think about it, the bigger I make the project. I ...

Not to divert traffic here. But astrophysics posted some pics on a thread I made recently as well. Here is the link to ease the search.

Re: Truck topper for DIY high top?

I think you are correct. Only thing a truck topper would do is give me more flexibility on amount of height and length of the diy high top. Which would give me a regular height near the front of the cab for my roof top tent. Trying to keep it from being 4 stories off the ground.

Re: Exo cage?

Hi, Yes, the local guy in the metal supply yard said the old hot rodders used to beef up the Camaro Uni body with 2x2 steel tube. I did post a bunch of photos in the Off-road, lifted section about 12 months ago. I will look for them and try to repost. AP No problem and no worries on doing extra wor...

Re: Exo cage?

I'm not sure I follow you on your subframe connector piece. I understand a rock slider. But am I grasping that you mounted it from the frame to the front subframe to keep it from flexing? Got any pics by chance?

Yes. That makes sense. I'll check that insta page out. I'm putting my build there as well.

Re: Exo cage?

I do seem to push things a bit far at times. From the building to the using. But yes I hear ya, might be a touch extreme. All this came up when I was trying to figure out how to attach my RTT. And my wife now wants this thing tall enough to stand in if possible. So it'll be getting a custom high top...

Exo cage?

I've googled around. And can't find any pics. Anyone have one? I'm debating on one in the future. Only thing I can't seem to figure out is how to strengthen it in a roll over. Assuming vertical tubes at the A and B pillar, then one at the rear corner. Then one from the A pillar to the front fender w...

H2OJoe wrote:I don't know about a truck topper but check out a video (youtube I think) called Compassing. It's about a surfer that built a high top for his van. Good luck with your project.

I'll check it out. I have plenty of time. This will be a project for next spring anyways.

Re: New guy here. Denver Colorado

You might want to check your fuel pressure. When my fuel pump quit the engine died of course. When trying to restart the starter did just as you stated. Good luck and welcome Exactly what happened. New starter and fuel pump. Changed trans fluid and filter as well. And cranked the torsion bars a bit...

Re: No spare tire on my dutch doors, what about fuel cans?

One of my many projects this coming year. What's the end result on bulk made over hinge parts? Is someone making them?
