Re: Fuel pump issue?
That's what I was thinking!! Unfortunately, I have power past the round plug when the pump is not working.. :( the wires on the round plug: -black (center pin) fuel pump ground (this goes to a bolt right above the plug.. Make sure it is tight and has a good ground! I cleaned mine up a little just to...

Re: Fuel pump issue?
This sounds very similar to what I'm chasing at tthe moment.. Van sometimes won't start, usually after it's first shut off. Wait 20 min and it will run again. Last night it died on the road, waited, it started and drove about 10 miles, then died.. Did this three times then forced me to call a cab.. ...

Question about oil pressure sender..
I have been having some fuel issues, so I was looking thru the old haynes manual.. According to the schematics in there, for "1994 and newer" engines, the fuel pump relay provides power to the pump as expected, but the oil pressure sender also contains a switch that closes above 4psi and p...

Re: Transmission removal - no trans jack
When I swapped my transfer case I was alone and did it balancing on a jack.. it weighs quite a bit less than the trans and I had trouble trying to muscle it around in there... I also experienced what happens when it loses balance. I got out of there quick and we both were ok.. at least it has not gi...

Re: Between the years of say '96 and '00
I love my 99AWD! I have replaced the OEM Transfer case to a 231c, but there was never any issue with my original setup.. in fact the OEM AWD system never stopped surprising me! I did things to that case that I never thought it would recover from, and it took it like a champ every time! If you do dec...

Re: Vanilla Ice Cream That Puzzled GM!
The only thing that makes the story questionable is any other stop or activity that requires the same amount of time as a vanilla ice cream stop.. although thinking about it I rarely ever turn the van off for such a short time, there had to be other instances of the car not starting besides the ice ...

Re: SportZ Mini-van Tent in use
I wanted one of those a few years back but Mel said it was stupid because we drive around places when we go camping to explore the area and we would have to take all of it apart.. I explained the van detaches and she argued that the air bed and all the stuff in the van would be a pain.. ... I still ...

Re: Might be clearance issues.
I mean more!!! Mine is lifted 4-5" and I am working on about 8-12" more.. The only way to clear big tires like that is to get them to ride way below the van b/c there is just not enough wheel well and if you cut the front one back you hit the door, if you cut the rear on forward you hit th...

Re: How much juice can I get from the dc outlets in the stro?
Ok... I am off... Law of conservation of energy and all that... Due to inefficiencies in the inverters, and power "lost" as heat, it may draw more than the 41amp DC... If it really is a 500 watt inverter I would run some 8awg... Usually around $0.90 foot at any car stereo shop...
