Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
I drove it home today. Just got it. It is a 94 with 169k miles on it. AWD and the CMFI ? type induction (anyway not the throttle body). One of the previous owners wrecked the nose and the people I got it from had a heater hose go bad so I got it for $200. A friend of mine gave me 200 for some work I...

Re: Hard 1st-2nd shift
Yes, that's the one. But... if your trans is a rebuilt by Goodwrench trans the new transgo iso-converter valve won't fit but you can buy a new one from transgo. If you send me a private message with your mailing address I will send a used slightly greasy copy of the installation sheets that go with ...

Re: Hard 1st-2nd shift
If you install a transgo shift kit that problem will most likely go away. I have fixed several with the same problem. It takes me 3 to 4 hours to get the job done in my driveway. With a lift I could save a half hour to an hour. Parts should be less than 60 plus ATF. They are not very hard to install...

Re: Roots type blower in Safari Van
Hey Lifted Thanks for the info. I am hoping that I can change the rear at a later date and use the original for now. As for the question, "is it built yet". Heck no, it's still sitting in my driveway while I try to get some work done on customer's cars, again in my driveway. (My wife think...

Re: Roots type blower in Safari Van
Hey Lifted, thanks for the response. I got so carried away on making a short overview of my project and trying to skip the boring details I forgot to mention that I have located a complete front AWD subframe at a salvage yard, including, well, everything, and also I forgot to mention that I am going...

Roots type blower in Safari Van
I have some questions regarding the installation of a Weiand 144 or similar type roots blower on a V8 in a Safari van. Mine is a 1985 that will be converted to 4x4 soon with a V8, 700r4 and a part time transfer case. I will also be installing the front diff from a S10 so I can unlock the front end. ...

Re: Front Diff Delete?
Isn't it the same transfer case as in the Syclone and Typhoon? The Borg Warner something or other.

Re: Front Diff Delete?
Hi folks. This is my first post to this forum but after reading this topic I have to comment or question. I thought that the awd transfer case used a viscous coupling between the front and rear outputs and would be damaged if a drive shaft was removed or even if different sized tires were used on th...
