I liked the added benefit that because the van was lifted a couple inches, when you shorten the mount a couple inches the stock shocks still fit good.

the best rear 2" lift is simple, swap in S10 leaf springs.

Somewhere on this site is a thread about a guy who modified the rear shock mount to simply shorten them up by 2" , Thus giving better ground clearance under the axle, as well as maintaining the original shocks. :) Shouldnt be to hard to find the thread and the mod is pretty simple for most mech...

you can install a gauge near the distributor. there is a 3/8 npt fitting in the block with little stem sticking up, and a sensor plugged in right there.
