Throttle plate mod+Granatelli MAF+Volant CAI+JY Ram Air
I had foot surgery, been off work, can finally get around better, and I've been extremely bored so I decided to try and make it all work, since I've had all the parts sittin in my garage taking up space for approximately 2yrs. I started a while back with removing the throttle plate air diffuser deta...

Re: 1999 rear bumpstops are inferior compared to earlier yea
Howdy Slim, I just looked up the bump stops on GMPartsGiant.com and it appears as though there were 3 different models available in 97, and only one model from 99 thru 05. Sounds like you got a good set. Jim PS Are they any taller than what you replaced? don't know if they are any taller since mine...

1999 rear bumpstops are inferior compared to earlier years
As the title states, my stock rear bumpstops on my 1999 are inferior trash compared to ones I pulled from a 1997 at pick and pull. Stock ones are all rubber and were disintegrated at 40k miles when I purchased the van. The ones I pulled today from picknpull came off of a 1997 they have a large metal...

Re: best way to gain additional inch on OVL 2in lift?
unfortunately I have a 2wd, and a very slim budget of at the moment, until I move, so still looking at the cheapest options available, even if temporary.

Re: best way to gain additional inch on OVL 2in lift?
Ok, I've come to the conclusion that the reason I've started scraping recently is due to the fact that I have recently been hauling a lot of people and cargo/gear, on top of that I also installed the 2nd row back bench seat, a class 3 hitch and a full size spare, all the additional weight must dropp...

Re: best way to gain additional inch on OVL 2in lift?
well, my shocks are new as well, so I'd like to keep those as well, I was thinking more along the lines of a coil spacer and a block for the rear, for a 1in bump in the lift. I'm trying to retain stock components as much as possible

Re: best way to gain additional inch on OVL 2in lift?
Those are stock steel rims with brand new 235/75/15 tires, so I won't be changing tire size anytime soon! I've already trimmed and hammered front and rear wheelwells and its perfect for street driving, it's the forward corner of the rear wheel arch that's rubbing I think, and it only seems to happen...

best way to gain additional inch on OVL 2in lift?
just looking for ideas on the best way to gain an additional inch or 2 on my van which already has an Overlands van 2in body lift, my main concern is if there would be any issues with clearances on brakelines, harness, radiator hose, and driveline angles/vibrations or anything else I'm not thinking ...

Finally! Back Bench Seats Rattle Fix
My back bench seats have always rattled going down the road and over bumps when no one is in them. Looks like from the factory they used thin strips of clear 1mm tape on all the anchor cross shafts to help with the rattling. All of my tape strips were worn through, as well as the front rubber bushin...

Yep, I purchased the brackets and shocks at the same time as the liftOKflyboy wrote:Quick question, if you don't mind about the lift kit. Did you just purchase the 2" kit, or did you get the bumper relocate kit too? (Getting ready to lift mine as soon as the tax return comes)
Thanks!

Re: Front door upper tweeter install w/pics
Oh I have cracks on the drivers side armrest, and the passenger side is starting to appear mis-shapened like it's warped on all the edges, I've never seen a drivers side armrest without cracks, what are they good for? Like 5000 miles?

Front door upper tweeter install w/pics
A long time ago I was at the junkyard, and scored the plastic speaker grill domes that match my interior. They replace the blank plugs that everyone always asks "what are these for", or "what goes there?" http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/310/dsc01744kf.jpg I was at the junkyard...
