Thanks for your help. It looks like the block will need to be repaired and new crank fitted, pistons, re-bore, head gasket & bolts, gaskets and new chain I guess. Thanks for this, you have stopped me making a costly mistake! Its so hard here in the UK to find a good 1995 Engine and now I have two cracked blocks.. ah well hopefully one should come up soon.
