Greetings! The past few weeks my 2002 Astro has been acting up. The check engine light came on during a snow storm and it seem like the AWD drive was not working. I still have the 1995 - and I guess I am going to make some moves to get rid of it as we now have the 2002. Its symptoms were occasional 'slips' or knocks when increasing speed. Gear shifting always seemed solid. The slips would happen when in the same gear. Anyway the 1995 has failed power options ...

Hi all - I had a related follow-up question. I just bought a 2002 Astro to replace my 1995 which I will miss greatly. My 1995 seems to be having transfer case problem, but I could live with 2WD on it. Does anyone know if I can simply pull the fuse and use the van in 2WD? Thanks.

Hello - I am a new member from the Harrisburg area. I have owned an Astro since 2000 and have really fallen in love with it as the ultimate SUV > Super Utility Vehicle. I end up here researching transfer case issues. Anyway it is great to be here. It looks like cool board.
