Call on it. I've had more than one part, oddball stuff like a throttle cable for my '93 where info online was dubious. After speaking w/ a human actually tracked down what I was after.
May take a few calls but worth it.

Hey Nick! Welcome.
Did you get that via auction? Many here have already done the same jobs you're taking on restoring and keeping these beauties on the road.
We all enjoy pics, more please...

Re: What % tint is the factory glass on 2005 Safari?
Sound advise, I have an '05 but w/no tint. Loud 'n lifted but no tints! lol Here in CT I know there are laws but they are blatantly ignored and only once in my lifetime have I seen them enforced. Working here I'm often in NY state and have had helpers running tints pulled over using that as a reason...

I got a similar kit, used on a bumper cover for the bride. I may use it in larger areas on the backside where it won't be seen.

Re: Acceleration and AC Blower Issues
Vacuum is an easy fix to many common issues. Replace every piece you can get to and the check valve. Eliminate that as a possibility and have one less gremlin in the van.

Re: Rear Disc Brakes
I have not done this to any van but do have a first gen (11' upgrade rear mentioned below) and 3rd generation (disc rear) astro. I don't notice a difference and I tow with both. That said I did play with the front discs on a '97 astro while upgrading the suspension to carry more weight. I found a ch...

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
I never understood why the manufacturers went away from the floor vents. The chevys had a stamped sheet metal door with a 5 cent sheet metal latch that worked a charm. Instead they added another complication to a hvac system that already had issues. I don't remember a "vent" in the later c...

Re: Blend door/damper locations, 2014 Express
Is the temp control valve similar to the astro? temperature controlled by water flow? The astro used a vacuum controlled valve that often failed in many ways.
Many guys in the hotter climates simply installed a ball valve in the heater core inlet and closed it in the summer.

Woody, went thru your album - The Paint... just something ! Yep, the guy that did my kids "bumper sticker" did much larger artwork on several vans while he was there. I talk with him on other forums and have seen his other work prior. Awesome to see a skill like that, The blue van camped ...
