I am considering chopping up an astro to build a small RV how much of the body can you cut away without having to add reinforcement?

4x4 swap ballpark costs
I have tried searching but am having trouble finding answers. Does anyone have an idea of how many hours it would take a shop to put a solid axle on the front and convert a 2wd to a 4x4? For a SAS is there any reason to start with an awd?

a carrot hey! does it help if it is organic? I have done a little more reading and I think I am pretty much turning the radiator into a weak battery? I also read about hydrogen embrittlement so if there is any truth to the HHO theory then it could cause any hardened steel to become brittle over time...

I have tried this myself on my '96 Astro, No concrete results yet but some interesting things happening with my multimeter. I ran the wire into my coolant reservoir and gradually saw an increase in voltage at the battery. The coolant also held a charge of 2 volts for about 5 minutes gradually taperi...

Thanks, It was in decent shape no rust but your average work van dents and scratches. Just wanted a bit newer, mostly to get the newer interior and an airbag for the wife.

Glad to know i am not the only one =D> Can any electrical gurus think of a way you could rewire it so there is a delay? So that you have to hold the button down for a second or two before it locks or unlocks...
