Re: Heater Control Valve, Hoses, W/Aux Heat

I found hoses!
I went to 2 stores and asked to see their hoses. I bought 3 that were close to the shape of the 2 curved hoses and was able to u get both out of one hose.
P side tire is off. Air cleaner, fan shroud and fan are off. Valves and hoses are all set. Now on to water pump.

Re: No brakes or powersteering

Started tearing it down last night. Gonna finally replace the AC compressor... thats a real PITA project. ...

Re: No brakes or powersteering

Brake lines burst. First to the rear... I needed the van so I put a bolt into the ABS module and drove with just front brakes. Then a bicycle pulled in front of me as I did a right on red. Stomped on the brakes and front line burst. (ran over bike but not the college kid on it) Replaced ALL lines an...

Re: Matt's New Toy!

I use Back Country Nav app and can save trip maps and post them. Works great for laying out trails, seeing where I rode. Later, I'll post acouple.

Re: Matt's New Toy!

Cool old Suzuki! (And the KTM is cheating!) :) Cheating...Absolutely!!!! I'm kinda pissed at the guys who let me continue to ride twin shocks without suggesting I try something modern!!!! The ts had 640 miles on it when I bought it in 2007. 3k on it now, stock piston with new rings. Seat was recove...

Been doing dual sport rides keeping up with 250's with modern suspension and busting my a$$ doing so! Picked up a ktm 250 exc a month before our local dual sport event...

Re: What's up with my ride quality? Yokohama Geolandars!

Tires are Yokohama Geolandar 245/70-16 on stock aluminum 5-spoke wheels I know this is old but I'm doing a tire search and saw this. So...... I put these same tires on last summer in stock size. They FIXED my ride issues from carrying too much weight and hauling a bike on the hitch and towing an alm...

Re: I think my Fan Clutch is going bad.

celsius .... down here they started teaching us metric and then didn't bother cause the US never changed over to it. I'll have to google conversions to follow how cold it is there. Also, at least in NY state, bike insurance is for the whole year so warm winter days we can ride as long as the bike is...

Re: I think my Fan Clutch is going bad.

My experience with fan clutches is they create a vibration as they go bad. And they act up when its cold . Living where you live.... its always cold? On my old full size chevy vans, I always put cardboard in front on the radiator thru most of the winter. I wonder if covering with cardboard would get...

Re: Anybody Home?

As to riding off into the sunset...you need to sell that low hanging camper of yours and get a higher off-road version! :muhaha: I can still remember the rear drag bars tearing up my yard/driveway when you backed in! That camper is long and low. Yeah I guess buying new wheels and tires at a smaller...

Re: 98 Running AND Starting issues

Hey Lifted! I must have been writing mine as you replied. Some day I should get whatever is needed for checking fuel pressure. It has been a few years since I learned Gen 2's are MUCH pricier to pay for replacing! I put a new distributor in when the plastic ear split where the cap fastens, years ago...

Re: 98 Running AND Starting issues

If only I could remember that I can't remember crap lately...... So Im thinking I just put all the new ignition parts and filter, etc in the van. Looking up my purchases, I see I did all that stuff in 2011 or 2012 . Short term memory is bad, long term not so. The other night, starting it hot it back...
