my 98 astro temp gauge always reads 130 150 degrees and although the heat is warm its not as hot as my other cars. Is a new thermostat in my future?

Hi My 98 astro shows a code of 0420 at auto zone. He says its the cat. I had this replaced about 4 years and 20,000 miles ago. could it be bad already.?

you said it, I found the coil had a pin hole in the neck and was shorting out. I didnt see it at first until it was getting dark and the blue spark was arcing on the coil. Changed that and all is good. Thanks

98 astro I replaced the fuel pump and it started for 2 days . today I cannot get it started, even tried pouring gas in the thottle body. I can hear the pump working so thats not it. any suggestions?

I know this is very late to update, but I had a new Emco Cat installed for $180 and it solved the problem. When we took the old one off and shook it rattled.

I have 98 astro and at start up a rattle or grinding noise seems to come from near the cat . when i hit the cat with my hand I hear something moving inside . Is this broke or just a nusince? My wife is complaining. gas milage is still good at 20mpgs .
