After market A/C contol panel fitment
Hey all, Does anyone know of an aftermarket A/C control panel that will run the stock system on a 95 Astro? (front ac only) I looked on the Vintage Air site, and they say their product does not support retrofiting into a stock A/C system. That doesn't mean it won't do it, just need to find someone w...

Re: Rack & PInion Install
Fantastic write up guys. Once I wrap up my LT1 install, I will move on to the suspension. I hope that you guys will post up the bracket drawings for the Rack and Pinion and IRS by then. Power is nothing without control!

Biting off more than you can/should chew
Hey all, I was working on the van today and was finding myself running into walls on what I could do because I am waiting on parts. So, realizing that I need to sort our the stock wiring harness I dove in. Because I am using a stand alone LT1 engine harness, chucking the ABS, Airbag and stock gauges...

Re: Clear, Consise Brake Upgrade Instructions, please.
Hey all, I am working on wrapping up some of the loose ends on my van to get it running from the V8 conversions, and brakes are in that pile of "broken" items from the conversion. So, the ABS no longer work because I lost the ECU ('95 V6 RWD Astro) that controlled it. I am adding a ECU ('9...

95 350 TBI roller upgrade.... Is it possible?
Hey all, So I have a 95 TBI 350 out of a G20 van........ And I want to upgrade it to a roller cam, and roller lifters. I have been told that after about '89 all the 350's had support for the roller lifters, just not the lifters or the spider to support them. Can anyone confirm that I can just drop i...

Dear Admins.... I would like to humbly ask that you consider with your great wisdom the request that I have brought before you today. I am the new owner of a 1995 Chevrolet G20 Conversion van. And upon searching the web for a community of like minded individuals interested in Chevy full sized vans, ...

Re: LT1 SWAP
Hey Mike, I am gald to hear you got your ride going. I had to take a several month brake on my conversion, but am going back into it this afternoon. I am putting a LT1 from a Firebird in mine, similar problems, but its in. I still have to finish the wire harness, btw I used the guys at LT1SWAP.COM t...

Re: Xephius's unnoffical LT1 conversion thread.
No pictures up yet. I have lots taken but have not posted them up. I will try and get around to starting my final write-up on the LT1 swap tonight. I gave up on trying to build my own harness and interface it with the Astro harness. I opted to have Brendon at LT1Swap.com do the work of making the ha...

Re: Xephius's unnoffical LT1 conversion thread.
For plugs, I used these with my headers. They clear with no problem, but I don't know how they will hold up. Very good quality and the plugs are nice. As for the T in the return hose, I did the same thing. I think it will work ok, if it does have problems I will fabricate a new tank with two return ...

Re: Xephius's unnoffical LT1 conversion thread.
Well, I am back from my vacation and about to dive back in on the van. I too have the motor in place in in the van but realized the headers hit on the driver side floor pan. I am going to lift it up, bang out some room and put it back tomorrow. I also hope to have all the wiring in place so I can st...

Power Steering configuration
Hey guys, I wanted to see how everyone else has configured their power steering pump setup. As far as I can tell, the high pressure hose goes from the pump, to the steering block, then to the hydro-booster. At the Hydro-booster there are appears to be 2 outputs. One with a high pressure fitting and ...

Re: Pictures and advice please!
Well today was a crazy day. I went from pissed off and determined, to depressed, to ready to quit, to thrilled in the course of 10 hours. I am rarely pissed off, I just don't like to be mad. But this morning I was trying to install a new Lexmark printer and man they suck. The driver crashes everytim...

Re: Pictures and advice please!
One thing though, 2600 stall AND you wanna tow with it? High stall speeds get old real quick unless you intend to take this beast out on weekends only :yawinkle: Its a weekend warrior, so I am not too worried about it. If it proves to be a problem I will swap in the original. As for the Vette acces...

Re: Pictures and advice please!
Then again, I'm incredible... :muhaha: Peter, I myself being rather incredible agree with your advice. I intend to get it all running, its just a matter of working it all out. I was really hoping to find some detailed information on things like ABS and such, but it looks like I will just have to do...
