Re: Homebrew Con-Ferr Style Porthole Roof Rack Build

what a fantastic job you've made of this, one to be really proud of and which will probably last a lifetime.

a great thread and photos, enjoyed reading it, keep at it, looking forward to the finished job sitting on top of your astro.

rear doors

having a problem shutting the rear doors of my 95 astro, it needs a real heavy slam to shut and about 3 or 4 attempts before I'm successful, its getting a bit embarrassing.

was wondering if anybody else has had this problem and what can be done to overcome it adjustment wise.

Re: seat belt anchor points

so vans would have come down the assembly line with only seat belt anchor points fitted where necessary for there intended destination type, not
as a standard fitment for whatever the van ended up as.

looks like the fittings will have to come out to have a look

Re: the beast calling

a wing ! do you mean the mirror, I know there a bit big but not that bad :) by the condition of the conversion I would say its been done for some considerable time so as the van was only imported in 2007 I doubt very much it being done in England. The vans history is something I would really like to...

seat belt anchor points

I have a 95 astro extended cargo van that has been converted and is only provided with lap belts. my question is would the van have 3 point anchor securing points as standard for rear and middle seats or not. Would like to put decent seat belts in but don't want to pull all the conversion fittings o...

Re: the beast calling

I don't know its history Jim other than it came over to England in 2007, so quite possibly been to Japan from the States at some point. the conversion company is another unknown, the only clue is the name " Stanford " on the seat headrests but not seen any other vans with that name, not ov...
